The book contains all those functional aspects which allow one to ensure good conservation of documental and bibliographic sources. It presents and analyses the different methods and systems which are implied in the correct instalation and suitable maintenance of books and documents. It contributes solutions for detecting and correcting deficiencies which may cause the deterioration of these materials.

The author is Head of the Department of Books and Documents of the I.C.R.B.C. and Consultant of UNESCO, OEA and EU, in several countries throughout the world. In Spanish.
