Biography of Nassio Bayarri Lluch:

NASSIO BAYARRI. Sculptor:

Sculptor, ceramicist, painter, decorator and poet. He was instrumental in the founding of the Parpalló, Contemporary Art and MAM groups. His work is characterized by cosmoísta philosophy expressed in his manifesto of the same name. Portraitist, made busts for prominent personalities (HM Juan Carlos I).

1949 Research Scholarship from the University of Valencia.

1953 Outstanding Thesis Award in the Escuela de Bellas Artes de San Carlos de Valencia.

1953 Award Alfons Roig, Diputación de Valencia.

1953 First Medal and Honor Medal-Exhibitions in the University.

1954 National Sculpture Prize Universitaria, Madrid.

1955 Scholarship Diputación de Valencia in Cuenca and Madrid.

1956 First Medal for Sculpture, Playa de Levante, Valencia.

1962 Silver Medal March Meetings, Church of St. Nicholas, Grau de Gandia.

1968 Third National Medal in the National Exhibition of Fine Arts, Madrid.

1968 First Medal at Indian Hill Presbyterian Art, Cincinnati, Ohio, USA.

1971 Scholarship from Fundación Juan March in Madrid.

1989 Academician of the Real Academia de BB. AA. de San Carlos de Valencia.

1996 Gold Medal of the Círculo de Bellas Artes de Valencia.

2010 Distinció al Mèrit Cultural de la Real Academia de Cultura Valenciana.
